Registered Nurse - Skilled Nursing
All shifts available! 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am
Assess, plan, coordinate and render skilled nursing care to residents while applying standards for professional nursing practice; supervise LPN and C.N.A. staff in the care of residents. Uphold the organization’s vision, mission, and corporate values. Demonstrate an understanding of and compliance with organization’s policies, procedures, code of conduct and work rules.
Essential Functions (RN LTC) :
Utilize nursing process to care for health care customers of elders and disabled
Carry out patient assessments, diagnosis, planning, and implementation of interventions, evaluate the patients response to the interventions including emotional, social and safety needs
Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
Perform various patient tests and administer medications as prescribed by physician
Triage, prioritize, and assist in the stabilization, resuscitation, crisis intervention and /or emergency preparedness of the customer
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge of general patient care with an emphasis in long-term care
Knowledge of documentation requirements for specific fields/records
Job-specific skills and abilities:
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
Problem solving and critical thinking skills
Interpersonal skills and teamwork
Active Massachusetts RN License,
1 year RN experience,
Associate's degree in nursing, BLS.
Must have both general and supervisory experience if indicated.
