Nursefinders, Inc. Acquires Travel Allied Staffing Leader Resources On Call
Nursefinders, Inc., one of the largest healthcare staffing companies in the U.S., today announced that it has acquired Resources On Call, a leading independent allied staffing company in the U.S. Based in Hickory, NC, Resources On Call provides a range of travel allied professionals with a particular emphasis on imaging and medical laboratory technologists.
Nursefinders and its affiliates provide nurse, allied health and physician staffing to healthcare facilities and home care services throughout the U.S. The company is also the nation’s largest healthcare staffing provider of vendor management services (VMS). Following the acquisition of Resources On Call, Nursefinders and its affiliates have approximately $500 million in gross billings with more than 100 offices throughout the U.S. and five recruitment centers. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“With Resources On Call operating alongside our existing Club Staffing allied staffing brand, we believe that we have gained the number one position in the fast growing allied healthcare staffing sector in terms of revenues, with very strong brand equity and a reputation for quality,” said Nursefinders, Inc. CEO Bob Livonius. “This transaction perfectly aligns with our strategy of securing a leading market position in the four healthcare staffing sub-sectors of per diem nursing, travel nursing, allied health staffing and physician staffing, as well as being a strong regional player in the growing home care sector.”
Resources On Call will continue to operate under its same brand name and under the leadership of President Jeffrey Decker and his existing management team. “We are extremely excited about joining Nursefinders’ world-class family of companies,” said Decker. “Our clients are showing increasing interest in strategic solutions that help them better manage their contingent labor expenses. Resources On Call is now in a unique position to deliver these solutions within allied health and beyond.”
Larry Kraska, president of Travel Operations commented, “We have long been impressed with Resources On Call’s talent base and brand reputation and are delighted to have them join the team. Together, Resources On Call and Club Staffing are a powerful force in the marketplace, offering expertise across all areas of allied health, including imaging, oncology, respiratory, rehabilitation, laboratory and pharmacy. In addition, we view multiple branding strategies as an effective approach in recruiting and retaining talented healthcare professionals.”
The acquisition of Resources On Call represents the first transaction completed by Nursefinders, Inc. since it was acquired in August 2007 by an investment group that includes Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group, Pharos Capital Group, LLC and Haas Wheat & Partners.
Livonius added, “The acquisition of Resources On Call further builds upon what we believe to be a winning model of providing the broadest range of workforce solutions to meet the rapidly changing needs of our nearly 5,000 clients.”
